University of Salamanca (USAL) and the AIIS consortium is continuing to present new results of the Project AIIS: Artificial Intelligence, Innovation & Society. The project aims to improve medical students' digital & social skills with an innovative online program. At this phase the consortium developed the AIIS Training Pills (Training Material).
AIIS Training Pills
Training Courses on AI & Social Skills for Medical Students
The consortium developed 12 courses for Medical Students in order to train them on AI and cultivate their Soft Skills.
- Design of Training Pills: The consortium decided to create their own Specifically Designed Trained Material in order to be:
- Ideal for Medical Students
- Based on educational needs emerged from our research
- Developed by Experts on AI & Soft Skills developed the content
- Structured by Trainers with university teaching experience
- Format of Training Material: for a holistic and engaging educational experience:
- 60 Videos: For an engaging way of learning for busy medical students
- 61 Presentations: For detailed set of information for students to study
- 58 Tasks: To examine the knowledge level acquired from the course
- 20 Reflection Zones: With extra material for a deep dive on the topics

- A collaborative learning platform for Medical Students: The AIIS Learning Program was hosted on the AIIS EduVerse which is a virtual environment platform, specially designed for this program, and accessible through PC using mouse and keyboard or a Virtual Reality (VR) headset.

Now we are working on our next results which are:
- Working groups of Medical Students to solve challenges using their knowledge of AI & Soft Skills
- Validation and Recognition of the AIIS Training in Europe’s Higher Institutions
