University of Salamanca (USAL) and the AIIS consortium is thrilled to unveil the results of the third work package of the Project AIIS: Artificial Intelligence, Innovation & Society, which has exceeded all expectations. This phase focused on training medical students from four prestigious European universities in AI and Soft Skills, and the outcomes are truly transformative.
Surpassing Goals
When the project began, the goal was to attract 100 students and have 50 of them complete the program. To our delight, we initially engaged 310 enthusiastic medical students, and an impressive 101 of them successfully completed the program.

- Framework for Online & Collaborative Learning
Our innovative Framework for Online & Collaborative Learning sets a new standard for medical education, creating a dynamic, collaborative learning environment that integrates AI and Soft Skills seamlessly.
- AIIS Challenges for Students
The AIIS Challenges showcased how the students participating in the Pilot incorporated the knowledge they received from the AIIS Learning Program into innovative solutions of real-world medical problems using AI and Soft Skills, fostering teamwork and adaptability.
- Analysis of Results & Training Recommendations
In-depth analysis of the pilot’s results has yielded invaluable insights into the training of medical students in AI & Soft Skills, guiding the future of medical education.
Preparing Future Healthcare Leaders
Our program equips medical students with a unique skill set, combining AI valuable knowledge and experience with essential Soft Skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the evolving healthcare landscape.
Virtual Learning, Real Impact
The AIIS Learning Program, hosted on the AIIS Collaborative Interphase, offers an immersive and collaborative learning experience, empowering students to engage with the materials and each other in innovative ways.
